Waso Robe Offering Ceremony: 1st anniversary of consecrating Maravijaya Buddha Image

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the Waso Robe Offering Ceremony marking the 1-year anniversary of the consecrating the Maravijaya Buddha Image was held at Aggadhipati Sasana Beikmandawgyi in the compound of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 20th of July.

First, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing offered Emerald alms bowl, fruits, flowers, water and oil lamps to the Buddha Image in Aggadhipati Sasana Beikmandawgyi.

Then, the congregation led by the Prime Minister observed 5 precepts administered by Pauk Myaing Sayadaw and listened to the sermons delivered by the members of the Sangha.

Next, the Prime Minister offered Waso robe and offertories to the Pauk Myaing Sayadaw. This was followed by donating of Waso robes and offertories to the sayadaws and members of Sangha by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and congregation.

After listening to the sermons delivered by presiding patron Sayadaw of the Pali University Mingalar Zeyone Monastery, the congregation shared the merits gained. After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and congregation offered day meals to the Sayadaws and members of the sangha.
