Renovation Works: Efforts for development works in Kayah State

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin along with the departmental officials visited Shwe Kyaung Monastery in Loikaw on 20th of July. They paid homage to the Kayah State Sangha Nayaka Chairman Sayadaw and Secretary of Kayah State Sangha Nayaka Committee and submitted religious affairs, along with donating offertories.

There, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the religious buildings which were destroyed by the terrorists and coordinated the requirement on renovation of the buildings. At the Min Kyaung Monastery, the Chief Minister and party viewed around the renovation processes of monk’s hostels and extended dining room under the management of state government.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected transmission towers repairing works which are being undertaken within the township for better communication system and gave necessary instruction. Currently in Loikaw Township, electric power is distributed through 10 transmission towers.

After meeting with the locals from Min Su Ward, the Chief Minister and party visited bus terminal and cordially met with the commuters. At present, 7 Loikaw- Hsihseng -Taunggyi bus lines are being run, with plans underway to expand the number of buses.

The Chief Minister and party later conducted field survey to the buildings of staff housing at Naung Yar (A) ward which were destroyed during the arm exchange between Tatmadaw and terrorists.

And, the Chief Minister made instruction to the concerned officials upon repairing of destroyed buildings for the resettlement of staff, electricity distribution and cleaning works of the housing compound.
