Honoring and awarding: MGY Region CM awarded prizes of honor

The ceremony of honoring and awarding ceremony for the students who passed the 2024 matriculation examination, the best townships and schools which received the highest pass rate was held at the Township Hall of Magway Township in the morning on 18th July and was attended by the Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and wife, Commander of Western Airbase Commanding Center MaJ-Gen. Thein Tun Oo, Region Ministers and officials.

At the ceremony, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin gave a remark regarding with the organizing honoring and prize awarding ceremony, importance of matriculation examination, youth and five strengths, sources for education in such a digital era and other necessary instructions.

Next, the Director  of Region Education Officer’s office Dr. Kyaw Soe Naing clarified the tasks done for 2024 matriculation exams. Then, the Region Chief Minister, Commander of Western Airbase Commanding Center and State Minister for Security and Border Affairs awarded the medals of honor and certificate of honor to the outstanding students including 2 students who stood at top ten in 2024 matriculation examination, three best Township and schools. 

Then, the Region Ministers, Region Advocate General, secretary of Region Government and Rectors from the Universities also presented the medals of honor and certificate of honor to 53 students who passed the exam with 5 Distinctions, 92 students with 4 Distinctions.

After that, the Chief Minister U Tint Lwin presented participate of honor to the teachers who compiled assessment questions and the well wishers, it’s reported.
