German Chancellor Scholz meets Serbian President Vucic in Belgrade

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Serbian Capital, where a memorandum of understanding between the EU and Serbia’s government on a “strategic partnership” on sustainable raw materials, battery supply chains and electric vehicles was signed.

The memorandum of understanding agreed during a "Raw Materials Summit" is seen as the first step in develop Serbia's mineral resources and potentially building supply chains, including manufacturing lithium batteries and component parts.
