Inspection of Film Subdivision Building: MOI UM inspected renovation of film subdivision building

Union Minister for Information U MaungMaungOhn inspected the renovated formerly film subdivision building on SasanaYeiktha Road, Bahan Township of Yangon in the morning on Thursday.

First, the responsible official clarified the status of location of the Mawgun film subdivision, land possession, plans to be implemented for the development of film industry and the preservation and renovation of the building in the original works.

Then, the Union Minister gave instruction in the requirement of preserving the 100-years old ancient building, need to give training for the development of future film world, implementation of the Government emphasizing development of film world and the requirement to cooperate with the Government and inspected the status of renovation works.

The building of Mawgun film sub division was constructed in 1925 and it is a facility for the shooting, editing and producing of Mawgun films, film censorship monitoring and scrutinizing for awarding the film academy prizes. Now, the necessary arrangement is being made for the preservation and giving film training, it’s learnt.
