In Damascus, Syrians participated in their fourth parliamentary election, widely anticipated to reaffirm President Bashar al-Assad's Baath party in power.

Across government-controlled areas, 8,151 polling centers opened at 7:00 a.m. local time and will close at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. In this one-day election, 1,516 candidates were competing for 250 seats in the People's Assembly, with every citizen aged 18 and above eligible to participate. The final results will be promptly announced by the Supreme Judicial Committee following the completion of vote counting.
