Tour in Nyaung-U: Development works and relief measures for flood victims

Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, accompanied by concerned officials visited Nyaung-U City Development Park on Sunday, where the new multi-purpose building is under construction, supervised by the Department of Buildings under the Ministry of Construction.

During the visit, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of timely completion and meeting quality standards. He also toured the construction progress and fulfilled the requirements.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and party inspected the placement of a garbage bin near the school of MyinKapar village, assessed the earthen road paving, oversaw the village road upgrades and fulfilled the needs.

The Chief Minister and party later proceeded to WatKyiInn Village, where an official reported on the sanitation of WatKyiInn Creek and the rising water level of Ayeyawaddy River. Following the reports, the Chief Minister coordinated with the relevant departments to fulfill the needs.

The Chief Minister and party also visited the Salsin May and YoneNyaungBinYat flood relief camps in Wards No. 4 and 1 which were temporarily opened for evacuation. They provided basic food supplies and over 3 million kyats of cash assistance to more than 1,600 people from over 380 flood-affected households.
