Agricultural Sector: Successful summer paddy harvesting in Nay Pyi Taw

In the fiscal year 2023-2024, a 500-acre summer paddy model plantation in Maezalikone Village, Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana Township, has been successfully harvested. Speaking at the event, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo urged farmers to aim for triple cultivation and utilize quality species to enhance production.

Agriculture inputs for the upcoming monsoon paddy cultivation in the 2024-2025 fiscal year were also distributed during the ceremony. The harvested summer paddy model plantation achieved a yield of over 224 baskets of raw paddy per acre, resulting in more than 195 baskets of dried product per acre.
