Artificial intelligence will help Viet Nam's digital economy grow 11 times by 2030, reaching 220 billion USD, equivalent to nearly half of Viet Nam's current GDP, according to Google's forecast. Likewise, current digital economy of Southeast Asia has grown remarkably, reaching an economic value of 100 billion USD and, is forecast to reach 835 billion USD by 2030.

Although the forecast is quite optimistic, Google’s representative emphasized that Viet Nam is facing many challenges, such as a shortage of human resources and experts in the field of AI. AI startups in Viet Nam also lack the opportunity to access experts to evaluate and appraise AI products to suit market needs.
