Ecosystem Conservation: Ethnic Affairs Ministry holds fingerling-adding ceremony

To increase fish resources, to prevent destruction of fish species, to increase the nation's fish production and to ensure the long-term sustainability of the ecosystem, the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs held a fingerling-adding ceremony on Saturday in the compound of its ministry.

Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung and many other officials participated in this event at the dam in the ministry’s compound. In this ceremony, 12,000 fingerlings were added into the dam. It’s reported that the Ministry added 7,000 fingerlings in 2022 and another 70,000 fingerlings in 2023 into the dam.
