Japan, S. Korea agree to continue close coordination on various challenges

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol held talks on Wednesday on the sidelines of the NATO summit in the US. They have agreed to continue their close coordination with the United States on North Korean issues.

They have also affirmed that their countries will elevate bilateral ties to new heights toward the next year, which marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations. The two leaders shared the view that the security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific is inseparable, and called for deepening cooperation with NATO.
