Biden and NATO leaders celebrate alliance’s 75th year

NATO is holding its annual summit in Washington from 9th to 11th of July to mark the 75th anniversary of its founding. World leaders gathered at the Mellon Auditorium in Washington DC for the event where US President Joe Biden hosted NATO leaders and awarded its chief Jens Stoltenberg the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO chief said "So in this 75th anniversary of our alliance, we can finally say that NATO is not only the most successful and the strongest but also the longest lasting alliance in history." 

It is a meeting of the heads of state and heads of government of the thirty-two members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
