Myanmar / Russia: Myanmar hosts cadet shooting competition

The Myanmar-Russia cadet shooting competition, hosted by Myanmar, took place at the 600-meter ASEAN Shooting Range at the Tatmadaw (Army) Combat Training School (Ba Htoo) of the Ba Htoo station from July 7th to 9th.

The competition commenced with saluting of the flags of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Russian Federation. The 300-meter cadet rifle shooting competition and the 25-meter cadet pistol shooting competition, both in team and individual categories, took place for three days.

On the morning of July 9th, the closing and award presentation ceremonies were held, during which officials presented prizes to the individual and team winners. Subsequently, the competition was successfully concluded with the lowering of the flags of both countries.

This Myanmar-Russia cadet shooting competition is for enhancing friendship between Myanmar and Russia, improving cooperation between the two armies, fostering camaraderie among the cadets, and facilitating the exchange of shooting techniques between the two countries.

While at the Ba Htoo Station, Major Mikhail GLADYSHEV, leader of the Russian Shooting team, along with the coaches and competing cadets, visited Sula Muni Kuthodaw Pagoda and other places.
