Myanmar / Ethiopia: Deputy Prime Minister receives Ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe on Tuesday received Mr. Daba Debele Hunde, Ambassador-designate of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, with residence in Tokyo, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, the Union Minister congratulated the Ethiopian Ambassador for his appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, with residence in Tokyo.

Then, Mr. Daba Debele Hunde presented a copy of his letter of credence to the Union Minister. And, they cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the strengthening of the existing bilateral relations between Myanmar and Ethiopia, mutually beneficial cooperation including trade and investment sectors, and enhancement of collaboration in the regional and international arenas.

On the same day, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo also received the Ethiopian Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
