





Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi presided over a meeting on the Best Aquaculture Practice (BAP) on Tuesday at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister said that the country’s GDP will increase by making agriculture and livestock farming successful.Integrated chicken and fish breeding activities are being carried out in Kayin and Mon states and Bago, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyawaddy regions.
The integrated breeding has benefits but all also need to pay attention to the negative effects that can cause pollution to the fish farming. Also, care must be taken that integrated farming is not allowed forexport products, the Deputy Minister added. And, attendees made discussions on the Best Aquaculture Practice (BAP), preparations for export to Saudi Arabia, Good Aquaculture Practice (GAqP) and plans.
