Tax Collection: Meeting of Union-Level Supporting Team

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein presided over a coordination meeting on the implementation of work plans of the Union-Level Supporting Team for Tax Collection in Nay Pyi Taw.

In the meeting, the Union Minister clarified the formation of the committee and highlighted the directives of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister to expand the tax space and not to increase the tax rate, the duties of supporting teams for tax collection, key channels for the state budget, and strict supervision of tax levies.

He also urged the attendees to supervise the taxation departments to levy the tax in full as it is the main financial support for the emergence of a modern and developed country and also for the socioeconomic development that is essential for the entire people. Then, attendees explained the work plans of the Team and effective measures to collect taxes in full.
