Dairy Sector: Union Minister makes inspection in Yangon

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspected dairy sector in Yangon Region.

On Monday in Mingaladon Township, the Union Minister inspected a dairy industry, heard report on operations of the industry and said that the government is working to reduce the import of dairy products from abroad. It is necessary for the relevant officials to systematically expand dairy cattle breeding activities in order to obtain sufficient raw materials.

The Union Minister also pledged to provide assistance for the dairy sector development in the Region. On the same day, the Union Minister visited the No. 16 Basic Education Primary School in the township, held talks with teachers, fulfilled the requirements and donated milk to more than 800 students for nutrition.
