Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister tours in Ayeyawady Region

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe made inspection on rural development works and cooperative performance in Ayeyawady Region on Sunday.

At Pantanaw Community Centre, the Union Minister met with the trainees of Consumer Good Manufacturing Technology Training Course, and outlined the government’s supports for vocational education to provide income opportunity for those enthusiasts in managing small scale business.

During the tour, the Union Minister inspected the progress of road upgrading tasks in Sutaung Pyaye Village, construction of Kyone Pataw Creek Bridge on Oh Bo-Chaung Kalay Road and upgrading of inter-village road connecting Mayan and Kyone Phar Villages.

On arrival at the Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Company Limited, the Union Minister met with the staff who have completed courses at the Cooperative Book-keeping and Accounting Training School in Pathein, urging them to try hard in performing their duties.

In meeting with the members of cooperative associations from 27 villages in Pantanaw Township, the Union Minister instructed to strive for achieving targeted yields, following the good agricultural practices.

They then inspected work processes of incubation, fish feed factory, and construction of cold storage factory, test run of Gasifier and Gas Engine Power Plant and construction of paddy hush storage. On arrival at Oat Pho Village in Nyaung Done Village, the Union Minister inspected the concrete paving of village road, and instructed for long term maintenance of the infrastructure.
