Honouring the Excellence: Award presentation ceremony for outstanding individuals

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation held an award presentation ceremony for the offspring of Ministry staff who excelled in the 2023-2024 matriculation examination as well as for the outstanding ministry personnel on Sunday.

At the ceremony, Union Minister U Min Naung delivered a congratulatory speech, urging all awardees to honor the support of their parents and teachers, strive to be exemplary individuals, systematically pursue subjects of interest, continue learning and serve the interests of the nation and the people with wisdom and expertise.

Then, the Union Minister and officials presented honorary medals, certificates, and cash awards to 185 students who excelled in the 2023-2024 matriculation exam. Next, the honorary certificates and cash awards were presented to outstanding staff recognized in training courses by the Union Civil Service Board.

Awards were also given to parents (staff) of honored students. For 2023-2024 academic year, 574 out of 801 offspring of Ministry staff have passed the matriculation exam, accounting for 72 percent passing rate, achieving more success than the previous year. Among them, 406 students attending Basic Education High School achieved academic excellence, with 23.1 percent.
