Strategic Partnership: SAC Vice Chairman holds bilateral meeting in Qingdao

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the Myanmar-China bilateral meeting at Anren Hall in Qingdao International Conference Center on Sunday.

The Vice Senior General is presently in Qingdao to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Green Development Forum. The Chinese side was led by Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (GNFCC SCO) Ms. Shen Yueyue.

During the meeting, they openly exchanged views on enhancing Swe Myo Pauk Phaw relations based on the five principles of peaceful coexistence, strengthening bilateral partnership, and strategic cooperation.

They also discussed the issues related to the stability in the border region, illegal border crossings, online gambling and drug prevention, bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and preparations for the upcoming multiparty democratic general election, in line with the State Administration Council's 5-Point Roadmap.

In the evening, the Myanmar delegation, led by Vice Senior General Soe Win, along with other forum attendees joined an honorary dinner hosted by the CPPCC Vice Chairman at the Yellow River Hall in the Qingdao International Conference Center.
