Tour in Myitkyina: SAC member oversees relief measures in Myitkyina

Member of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, together with Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win, Chief Minister of Kachin State U Khet Htein Nan and officials, visited Relief Items Store of State Disaster Management Department on 6th July. They observed the storage of relief items provided by the National Disaster Management Committee and implementation of relief measures. The Council member and party later visited the Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Center, and observed the plans to conduct the training course.

On arrival at the Flood Relief Camp, opened at Myay Myint Ward Monastery in Myitkyina, they provided relief items including foodstuff, clothes and personal care items. Relief items were also provided at the Relief Camp in Sasana Ramthi Monastery in Rampu Ward.

The Council member and party also oversaw the sanitation tasks being carried out at Manaw Ground and Manaw House in Sitapu Ward, and took a tour in the Myinkyina University. At Bala Min Htin 100-acre model plantation, the Council member and party assessed the inundation of crop plantations and plans for re-cultivation.
