Meeting with MTEA: MoHT UM met with Chairman and CEC members of MTEA

Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine received the Chairman and CEC members of Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association-MTEA at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 5th July.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said that MTEA is an association which cooperates and joins hand with the Ministry. The Chairman and CEC members selected by the association are welcomed by the Ministry and it’s believed to further cooperate with the Ministry for the development of tourism sector of the country and clarified the implementation of the Ministry for the development of tourism industry and cooperation with the related Ministries, Regions and States governments and private associations.

Next, the Chairman of MTEA U Kyaw Bhone Naing clarified the formation of association and responsibilities, status for implementation of Myanmar International Travel Mart (2025) and Myanmar International Travel Expo (2026), undertakings done for the development of tourism industry and future plans. Then, the officials supplemented requirements and the Union Minister and Deputy Minister coordinated on the clarifications.
