Forum for International Cooperation: Myanmar delegation attended opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 4th China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation was held at Lulang International Pearl Hotel in Nyingchi City of Xizang Autonomous Region in the morning on 4th of July and attended by Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, Ministers from 12 countries, responsible officials from the related organizations, professors from the Universities, students, researchers.

First, the Union Minister together with the secretary of Xizang Autonomous Region, Vice-Chairperson of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Ministers from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Korea, Chele, Bolivia, officials of the Committee of Xizang Autonomous Region took a documentary photo. At the opening ceremony, secretary of Xizang Autonomous Region and Vice-Chairperson of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference gave the opening remarks.

Then, Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi gave a key note speech.  Next, the Ministers and representatives from the attendee countries gave the remarks and discussed under the topic of protection of trees and forests, bio diversity and ice rivers, highland sports activities and development of tourism industry and the protection of traditional medicines and herbal trees.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister gave an interview to the press regarding with the forum in Nyangchi City. Then, the Union Minister met with Standing Committee of the People’s Congress  Vice Chairman, exchanged views and presented memorable gifts, it’s learnt.
