






The Magway Region Government held acommemorative ceremony to mark the Myanmar Women’s Day on 3rd July at the City Hall in Magway Township. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin stressed that Myanmar Women’s Day is asignificant day of the Myanmar women across the nation.
He added that the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is developing the National-level Strategic plan for the Advancement of Women (2013-2022) phase II with the collaboration of the relevant ministries and organizations. Highlighting the contribution of Myanmar women in nation’s development process, the Chief Minister added that the government is making exerted efforts in implementing National-level Strategic plan (2021-2022) to develop the socio-economic status of the women regarding women’s rights and gender equality.
He called for the concerted efforts of the concerned officials in implementing women development activities. This was followed by screening of a documentary video clip, commemorating the Myanmar Women’s Day.
Then, the Chief Minister presented honorary awards to three students who passed the 2024 matriculation exams outstandingly, three outstanding women at he lets and a woman blood donor who most frequently contributed within the region. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister viewed around the display of documentary photos, commemorating the Myanmar Women’s Day.
