Honoring Int’l Cooperative Day: Shan State CM attended the hailing and honoring of ICD

The first Saturday of July has been designated as the International Cooperative Day by the UN Assembly and the celebration is held at the world countries every year. The hailing and honoring the 102nd International Cooperative Day was held at Shan State Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training Center in Taunggyi Township at 10 AM on July 2nd.

At the celebration, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung gave a speech of honor saying the theme of the International Cooperative Day this year is Cooperative Build a Better for ALL. Themembers of cooperative societies need to implement the cooperative activities in line with the four ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others and the six essences of the cooperative.

Next, the Chair of the Federation of Shan State (South and East) Cooperative Societies Daw Khin Nyo read the International Cooperative Day honoring message and the Chief Minister U Aung Aung and State Minister for Road Transportation U Nay Win Aung awarded the prize winners from the first year and second year trainees.

Then, the Director of State Rural Development Department U Maung Maung Win and Director of Department of Rural Road Development U Myo Thant provided cash assistance for the State Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training Center and the responsible officials accepted.

After that, Chief Minister, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Ministers and officials viewed the products of Shan State Cooperative societies displayed in the hall, it’s reported.
