Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida inspected Wakura Onsen in Nanao City on Monday. The popular hot spring resort was greatly damaged in the New Year’s Day earthquake.

As many hotels and inns in the resort face a bay, most of them have been forced to remain closed after the seawalls collapsed.He vowed to proceed with reconstruction efforts through all measures available. The government will lead the work to restore the seawalls, which are necessary for the region’s recovery.The government will launch the plan as soon as the area becomes ready to accept travelers.
