China's latest mega cross-sea link opens to traffic

The 24-km cross-sea Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link opened to traffic on Sunday, significantly cutting travel time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan from two hours to about 30 minutes.

This infrastructure project, integral to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, includes one underwater tunnel, two bridges, and two artificial islands. It was among the most challenging cross-sea cluster projects in the world to build.
