Ethnic Affairs: Meeting with Ethnic Literature and Cultural Associations

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung held a meeting with Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations in Pyapon and MaUbin Districts of Ayeyawady Region on June 29th.

The Union Minister stressed that coordination has been made with the Ministry of Education for teaching ethnic literature in regions and states. He added that over 1,100 individuals have attended the Education Degree Colleges in Ayeyawady Region and they were appointed as the Teaching Assistant and Language Teacher at the Government Schools.

He emphasized the need to achieve peace and stability foe development of the country which will come to achieve through development of nationalities. He urged all to make strenuous efforts in nation building endeavours for the emergence of a Union based on democracy and federal principles.

The meeting discussed the ethnic affairs and development works in the region. Cash assistance were also provided during the ceremony, for safeguarding and promoting the ethnic literature and cultural matters.
