Study Tour: MOH Union Minister tours in Jiangxi Province

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khine Win on 27th June observed the Zhang Zhong Herbal Garden and Medicine Factory in Jiangxi Province of China.

Official explained the brief history of Chinese traditional medicine, process of developments, cultivation of herbal plants, using modern equipment and techniques for manufacturing of traditional medicine and quality control measures.

The delegation later visited the Nanchang University of Traditional Medicine  where official explained the history of university, display of traditional Chinese medicinal plants for students’ observation and systematic conservation of traditional Chinese Medicinal Treatises and handing down the legacy to the posterities. They then visited the Nanchang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and observed the process of treatment using Chinese traditional methods and Physiotherapy process using modern equipment.

On the 28th, Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister met the Leader of Jiangxi Province Traditional Medicine Governing Body and Party Secretary, and discussed matters on cooperation for development of traditional medicine sector, signing the MOU between Myanmar Traditional Medicine Department and Nanchang University of Traditional Medicine and emergence of Traditional Medicine Museum.

The delegation departed China on the 29th and arrived back in Yangon on the same day.
