Library and Reading Habit: CM attends ceremony for development and promotion

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin on Monday attended a ceremony for library development and reading habit promotion campaign at the office of the State education officer.

The ceremony began with a performance by students from the No. 1 Basic Education High School. In his speech, the Chief Minister said that if reading habit promotion activities are to be carried out, the library plays a major role.

Young people must study and read good literature for development. All must make an all-round effort for library development and for every literate person to read. And, the Chief Minister donated books for the library of the No. 1 Basic Education High School and provided cash awards to the students who staged the performance.

There, the Chief Minister also viewed books and publications displayed for the development of libraries and the promotion of reading habit. This ceremony continued with discussions and activities.
