Serbia heatwave red alert

Serbians were bracing for a severe heat wave that will peak over the weekend, with the country’s hydrometeorological service expecting temperatures of between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius across the country.

On Thursday, the institute issued a red meteorological alert across most regions of Serbia, signaling the danger of severe weather conditions that may cause significant material damage and threaten human and animal life.However, relief may be on the horizon as storms are expected to sweep across the country during the weekend, providing some respite from the scorching conditions.
