Coordination Meeting: Development of industrial zones in Yangon Region

A coordination meeting on development of industries and industrial zones in Yangon Region took place on 21st June. Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than attended the meeting and made a speech.

The Union Minister urged the staff from Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department to strive for development of industrial sector in accordance with the laws, by laws, regulations, orders and instructions. He also stressed the need to give advice to regional and state government organizations relating the industrial sector.

In addition, the Union Minister instructed to provide the needs in order to be able to increase manufacturing activities, while paying special attention to ensure that there is no damage to people’s lives and environment due to industrial activities.

He added the need to make cooperation with Technological Universities, degree colleges and vocational schools for development of industries zones, while conducting human resource development for achieving high quality performance. The meeting discussed the statistics of the industrial zones in the region and completion of implementing the decisions of the central committee meeting (1/2024).
