Study Tour: Myanmar delegation joined a study tour in Yunnan

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn who attended the opening ceremony of 5thLancang – Mekong Audiovisual Week, together with the delegations of LMC countries and Southeast Asia countries, toured around the landmarks of Kunming City and and Yuishi City in Yunnan province on 18th June.

In the morning, the delegations observed the studying of relevant subjects at the Kunmin University of Science and technological innovation in various fields, a wide range of AI technological research and science labs, Intuitive voice and translation process of 108 languages, Southeast Asia and Asian languages, including Vietnamese, Laos,Myanmar, Cambodia and Thailand, with a special emphasis.

The university was founded in 1954 and has been upgraded, now over 53,000 students including 583 from foreign countries are studying in it. Next, they visited Yunnan Botany Bio-Technology Group Co., Ltd and observed the systematic research based on natural materials, production of cosmetic and skin care products under the name of “Winona” and extensive distribution and sales of them.

In the evening, the study groups visited the Chengjiang Fossil Site Natural History Museum in Yuishi City, where 300 species under 20 categories of fossils were divided into rooms and displays on each floor in a three-story building with a combination of electric light and sound systems. 

After that, the study groups proceeded to Marfan Village of Chonjiang Township in Yuishi District and observed small museum preserved in an original work and collective store, shophouse of traditional foods and lodges, products based on the agriculture, display of perennial and seasonal plants including seasonal flowers in timely manner, natural lotus lake and construction of strand road circling the Village.

After that, they continued to Fuhaiwan beach in Chunjiang region of Yuishi and observe the natural mountain lake, beach circuit and parks and arrangement with the integration of entertainment programs.

The mountain lake covers an area of ​​about 83 hectares within the swamp forest project area, is famous as a beautiful beach with a length of 2,600 meters in the east and west and attracting tourists at home and abroad.

In the evening, the study groups stayed overnight at the Emerald Bay Hotel in Chonjiang of Yuishi district.
