Drugs seizure: 1.16 million stimulant tablets seized in Pan Taung

1.16 million stimulant tablets worth 1.74 billion Kyats which will be carried to Rakhine State were seized in Pan Taung Township of Bago region, according to Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined team comprising security forces searched a farm hut of Tun Kyaw 2 miles apart at the east of Shwe Pyi Tha Village of Pan Taung Township in Bago Region at 1 Am on 16th June, 10 people included Tun Kyaw, Htay Win, Zaw Myint Naing, Than Tun Lay, Ko Phyo, Zaw Min Hlaing, Myint Aye, Aung Kyaw Hsan, Htet Lin Soe and Soe Lin Aung were arrested together with 1.16 million stimulant tablets. Accordint to the investigation, as it was revealed that the seized stimulant tablets will be carried to Ann Township of Rakhine State from Pan Taung Township, the legal action has taken against all 12 people including Myat Thu Win (@) Naung Naung and Thein Soe who masterminded the carrying the stimulant tablets and the investigation is underway to reveal the chain of offenders.
