Ministry Quality Assurance System: Launching ceremony of MQAS held

The ceremony of launching Ministry Quality Assurance System-MQAS of the Ministry of Education was held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Monday with the attendance of Union minister Dr. Nyunt Pe, Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and Dr. Moe Zaw Tun and Senior officials.

First, the Union Minister said that the Quality Assurance System in the Ministry of Education will be referred as Ministry Quality Assurance System – MQAS, the MQAS is to implement through the preschools, education camps of non-formal education, basic education schools, colleges, education degree colleges and universities, departments and organizations related to the education.

The Ministry Quality Assurance System-MQAS is to be used in the drawing, formulating and implementing the Internal Quality Assurance – IQA of the relevant departments. In the basic education sector, School Quality Assurance Standards Framework – SQASF is being implemented and gaining the progress and the Teacher Competency Standards Framework – TCSF is being developed etc.

Next, the Director General Dr. Than Than Myint of the Department of Education Research, Planning and Training clarified the work process regarding with the designing MQAS, the Deputy Director General Dr. Soe Moe Lwin explained the contents of MQAS and work processes to be implemented and the Union Minister posed for the documentary group photo together with the attendees.

After that, second part of the ceremony was held led by the Rector of Yangon University of Foreign Languages Dr. Kyi Shwin, it’s leant.
