Shenzhen-Zhongshan megaproject ready to open to traffic

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link in Guangdong Province has passed construction acceptance and will open this month, cutting travel time between the cities to half an hour. It includes an underwater tunnel, two bridges, and two artificial islands, making it a major cross-sea project.

Positioned as the "transportation backbone" of the Greater Bay Area, it connects urban centers across the Pearl River Estuary and integrates into the national expressway network.
