Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister makes inspection tour

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe and concerned officials made field inspection for regional development activities and further success of cotton farming in Meiktila Township of Mandalay Region.

The Union Minister and party inspected upgrading of inter-village road, connecting Meikhitla-Kyaukpadaung Road to Eait and Thanut Eait Villages, and renovation of earthen lake in Sekone Village of Myinkan Village-tract. Next, the Union Minister and officials visited the Single Stroke Engine Repair Industry, and gave instructions to provide the necessary capital for the continuous operation of the business.

In meeting with 24 cotton farmers at the meeting room of Weaving and Vocational Training Institute in Meiktila Township, the Union Minister instructed the need to grow quality species and pledged to provide assistance for irrigation water and technology.

They then observed the conducting of long-and-short-term training classes and displays at the handicraft art gallery. The Union Minister discussed to work together with the private entrepreneurs for providing job opportunities for training students.

The Union Minister and party later inspected the dairy cow farm in Palamkyin Village and soap oils and consumer good business in Mway Village. The Union Minister instructed to provide the necessary capital for constant operations, while establishing income generating activities.
