Agriculture Development: Sesame plantations and irrigation facilities inspected

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw visited Ywataw Village-tract in Pobbathiri Township on Sunday to observe the thriving plantations of summer sesame, being cultivated by Kyan Phosu River Water Pumping Irrigation System.

During the inspection, the Deputy Minister instructed the farmers on effective utilizing of irrigated water, cultivating triple crop and provision of farm implement for monsoon paddy cultivation. The Deputy Minister later oversee the possibilities for conducting the feasibility study for increased supply of irrigated water from Hsin Thay Creek.
