Heatwave hits Hebei,Hennan provinces

A scorching heatwave has hit China’s Hebei and Henan provinces, prompting high-temperature alerts and emergency measures.

Hebei issued an orange alert, with temperatures in Shijiazhuang surpassing 35°C and forecasts predicting over 40°C in central and southern areas. Henan also expects temperatures above 40°C, with authorities issuing an orange alert and activating a level IV emergency response. Xiao Yao of the Henan Meteorological Service Center warned of strong solar radiation, low humidity, and high heat stroke risk.
