New Caledonia: polling stations set up under police protection

Preparation for polling stations is underway for the upcoming European elections in New Caledonia's capital Noumea, more than three weeks after the deadly riots broke out in the Pacific territory.

Polling stations have been grouped on six sites, instead of the usual 37, and will be secured by the presence of law enforcement officers.
