Clarification of directive: MoI UM clarified directive 1/2024

The clarification of directive 1/2024 of the Machine Supervisory Committee was held at office No.30, Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

It was attended by Chairman of the Machine Supervisory Committee Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, permanent secretaries, director generals and concerned officials. 

First, the Chairman of the Machine Supervisory Committee Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than said that this occasion is held for the Union level organizations and Union ministries to know and comply with the directive (1/2024) and to submit the issues to the Committee such as earmarking the capital expenditure fund, purchasing machineries and transferring  fund for the circumstances such as insufficient fund and unavoidable reasons, and changing of project value.

By issuing the directive No.1/2024, Union-Level Ministries and organizations can reduce the circumstances of funds transfers, carry out the process of purchasing equipment quickly, make firm budgets and carry out other activities effectively by allocating the capital expenditures such as machinery, constructions and others in line with the Committee’s policy and responsibilities.

Union Minister also urged attendees to provide suggestions to enhance the effectiveness and success of the Machine Supervisory committee. Then, the secretary of the committee presented a report on capital expenditures related to machinery, equipment procurement, and fund transfers, in accordance with Policy 1/2024. And Committee members engaged in discussions concerning the policy and outlined future plans for the committee, and the clarification was concluded.
