










The 2024 1st occasion of Monsoon Season tree planting ceremony of Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw was held at the precinct of Naypyitaw State Academy in the morning on Tuesday and the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended and led the ceremony by planting the sapling of Starflower tree.
First, in his speech, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister said that this Monsoon Season tree planting ceremony is held at the precinct of Naypyitaw State Academy which was established with the objectives of encouraging the critical thinking and stepping up the next level of university where is giving the higher education facilitated applied research and innovation through the qualified teaching, learning and practicing.
The purposes of this ceremony are the greening and pleasantness in the environment, for the students and teachers to spend the leisure time peacefully and happily, balance of climate and active participation in the growing and preserving the trees and the forests.
The SAC Chairman Prime Minister pointed out that since 2021 when the State administration Council took the responsibilities, in the 8 occasions of tree planting ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw, 12455 saplings of trees were planted and in the 8 occasions of tree planting ceremony held by the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air) families, 30154 saplings of trees were planted.
In the 1147 pre and during monsoon season trees planting occasions, a total of 775,192 trees were planted across the country.During this tree planting ceremony, a total of 1030 trees of six species will be planted and the trees harmonizing with the campus of the University such as Gantgaw, Starflower, Flamboyant, Badauk trees.
During this year’s monsoon season, a total of 22.332 million trees will be planted across the nation including State-owned Forest plantations. Additionally, the shady and wind-shield trees adaptable to the Regions will be grown at the vicinity of each Village and Township and the effort for the trees and forests establishing including growing and preserving trees along the rivers and creeks and establishing mangrove forest trees must be carried out with the momentum.
Then, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing planted a Starflower sapling at the designated place.After that, the attendees to the occasion including SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, Council secretary, joint-secretary, Council members, Union level persons and Union Ministers, invited guests, Rector of Naypyitaw State Academy, Pro-Rector, lecturers, students, departmental personnel from the ministries and the officials planted the saplings simultaneously.
Then, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister viewed round the participants’ happily planting the saplings.After that, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister viewed the display of proposal designs for the construction of convocation hall, taking voting list of students on the proposal designs and gave necessary instruction in responding to the reports of the responsible officials, it’s learnt.
