Opening of schools in MDY: Over 922,000 students enrolled in Mandalay Region

Basic Education Schools across the nation were opened for 2024-2025 Academic Year on 3rd of June 2024. Students at Basic Education Schools in Mandalay also attended the schools peacefully and happily.

According to the Deputy Director of Planning, Statistics and Computer Department of Mandalay Region Education Office, there are 3950 basic education schools, 237 private schools and 306 monastic education schools.

Since the weeks before the opening of schools, preparations of class rooms, chairs and tables for the students and cleaning and greening tasks for the good look of the schools were carried out.

In Mandalay Region, a total of 4493 basic education High schools, middle schools and primary schools including private schools and monastic schools are opened.

During the school enrollment week starting from 23rd of May to 2nd June, over 764,000 students enrolled at Basic Education Schools, over 85,000 at monastic education schools, over 73,000 at private schools have been enrolled in Mandalay Region, it’s leant.
