Sports and Education Training: MDY CM gave the opening remark

The Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung together with the Region Ministers attended the opening ceremony of Sports and Education Integrated Training of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Mandalay) for 2024-2025 Academic Year held at the institute in ChanMyaThazi Township of Mandalay Region in the morning on 2nd June.

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister gave an opening remark clarifying the objectives of training opening.Next, the Chief Minister and Region Minister accepted the 43 million Kyats of cash donation contributed by the well-wishers, presented certificate of honor and the principal of the institute U Myint Khaing expressed words of thanks for the donations.

Then, the Chief Minister and party cordially greeted the coaches and trainee and viewed the sport training materials and equipment as per the sport type.The Sports and Education Integrated Training of the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Mandalay) was inaugurated on the 1st of June, 2002.

During the 22 years, the institute has turned out 1129 national selections and the outstanding and potential new generations of athletes are being picked up and given training. In the training opened for 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 270 trainees for 13 sports will be given training, it’s reported.
