Fake News: Clarification on Sipa Village Incident in Butalin Township

The illegal subversive media outlets are spreading fake news, alleging that the security forces raided Sipa Village in Butalin Township of Sagaing Region, arresting 10 locals on 31st May.

The Security Forces were executing a routine security operation in Sipa and surrounding villages when they encountered terrorists attempting to plant mines on a public road near Sipa Village.

Following an exchange of gunfire, the terrorists fled the scene. The Security Forces then proceeded to carry out systematic mine-clearing operations to ensure the safety of the area. There were no arrests made during the security operation.
