Agriculture Sector: Inspection of Sericulture Research & Development Center

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung inspected the Sericulture Research and Development Center in PyinOoLwin Township of Mandalay Region.

During the inspection, the Union Minister heard report on matters including mulberry treeplantation, breeding sikl worms, research activities and distribution of silkworms spin cocoonsto departmental farms and growers across the country.

In his response, the Union Minister stressed the importance of research activities, awareness programmes for growers and market condition. And, he inspected the mulberry tree plantation in the Center’s compound.
