








Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials inspected the condition in flood-affected areas due to the rise of the Ayeyawaddy River water level after heavy rains in Putao and Chipwi districts on the 30th of May.
And, the Chief Minister provided cash assistance for members of the Fire Services and ward administration offices who have been taking response measures in the area. Also, the Chief Minister instructed concerned officials to ensure that the main drains and small streams are not obstructed in order to protect residential houses from flood.
On the 29th of May, the Chief Minister gave words of encouragement to temporarily displaced persons taking shelter in Myitkyina Township.
In the meetings, the Chief Minister pledged to continue aid provision and coordinated with concerned officials to fulfill requirements. At the Manaw Shwe Pyi Hall, he met with governmental employees and their family members who have returned from Sumprabum Township to give words of encouragement and to provide foodstuffs and cash assistance.
