Response to Fake News: Illegal media outlets spreading fake news

The illegal subversive media outlets are disseminating misinformation alleging that the security forces abducted over a hundred of young people who were traveling through tollgates and roads in PanTaung Township of Bago Region on the 28th of May. They claimed that the security forces intentionally abducted the young people without justification and force them to serve in the military.

In response to these claims, an official from the township administration body asserted that the relevant officials just conducted road safety measures and inspections on that day and there was no arresting of people. 

Since the day that the People’s Military Service Law is enforced, the illegal destructive media outlets are deliberately spreading misinformation through social media platforms to harm the peace and stability of the nation, causing misunderstanding among the public.
