Spreading Disinformation: Fake news on incident in Kone Char Village, Salin

The illegal subversive media outlets are disseminating fake news on social media platform, alleging that over 140 houses were burnt down by the security forces in Kone Char Village in Salin Township of Magway Region on May 24th.

A security official refuted, asserting that the security forces, acting on a tip-off, conducted operation near the junction of Pathein-Monywa Road and Kone Char Village road as the PDF terrorists abducted the commuters and asked for extortion.

The terrorists fled away, and the security forces seized foodstuff and various items, being looted by the PDF from the local community. There was no incident of fire outbreak during the operation.
