Spanish police show recovered Francis Bacon painting stolen in 2015

Spanish Police display a painting by British artist Francis Bacon that has been recovered after being stolen in 2015, the force has announced on Thursday.

Valued at five million euros, the piece was stolen alongside four other works by the artist from a private home in Madrid in what was the most significant theft of contemporary art seen in Spain. It is the fourth of the five artworks to be recovered, with three being found two years after the robbery.
